Where strategy meets adventure.
Our Travels
At The Point Pursuit, we don’t just talk about earning credit card points - we show you how we actually use them to travel. In this blog, you’ll find real examples of the trips we’ve taken using points - from international getaways to quick weekend escapes - and exactly how we made them happen.
Each post includes a breakdown of how we booked the trip with points, which cards and programs we used, and how many points it took. But we don’t stop there. We also share what we did on the trip, along with honest reviews of the hotels we stayed in, the restaurants we tried, and the activities we experienced.
We know a lot of travel blogs focus on luxurious, aspirational redemptions - flying first class to the Maldives or staying in over-water villas - those are fun (and we’ll sprinkle a few of those in too), but they’re not always realistic for everyone. That’s why we also feature more approachable, domestic trips - like a weekend in Chicago or New York City.
Our goal is to show you what’s actually possible - from everyday adventures to bucket-list travel - all by using the points you can earn from your regular spending.

Before the Blog: Boston, Boca & Bogeys
Before The Point Pursuit ever existed, we were already using credit card points to travel. From a Chase Travel Portal redemption to Boston, to free nights in Boca, to an unforgettable golf getaway in Scottsdale - here’s how our first few trips set the stage for everything that followed.
